How to Verify Your Training Certificate, Step by Step
Category: Certificate Documentation
A simple, practical guide for any trainee who wants to confirm their certificate is valid, or share the verification link with an employer.
With training certificates of all kinds now so widespread, verifying that a certificate is genuine has become an essential step — whether you're the trainee yourself or an employer reviewing a candidate's qualifications.
**Why does certificate verification actually matter?**
Verification isn't just a formality — it's a protective tool for everyone involved: it protects the issuing organization's reputation, gives the employer confidence that the qualification is genuine, and protects the trainee themselves from any doubt about their certificate's credibility.
**Step One: Get your verification code**
Any officially issued certificate should come with a unique verification code (a number or a combination of letters and numbers), usually printed on the certificate itself or sent to the trainee at the time of issuance.
**Step Two: Go to the official verification page**
The organization that issued the certificate should have a dedicated online verification page (like the "Certificate Search" page on our website), where you enter the verification code and immediately see the certificate's details.
**Step Three: Compare the displayed information with the original certificate**
After entering the code, compare the trainee's name, the program name, and the issue date shown in the verification result with the paper certificate or file you have, to confirm they fully match.
**If the certificate is a "record-only" type**
Some certificates (such as those from partner centers) are linked to a code and the name of the issuing center, without individual trainee data — this is a different, but still recognized, type of documentation that can be verified the same way, though the result looks slightly different.
**What if the certificate shows as "suspended"?**
If the verification result shows that the certificate is suspended, this means the issuing organization decided to deactivate it for some reason. In this case, the best course of action is to contact the issuing organization directly to find out the details.
This simple verification process takes less than a minute, but it provides real confidence to everyone involved in the credibility of the qualification.
